Marmi Apuani Dark at 2" x 2" is small enough to follow a slope, which is why sheets like this keep turning up on shower floors and in wet rooms. A natural finish holds grip when it is wet and does not show water spotting the way a polished face does. Porcelain is fired dense enough that water is not an issue, indoors or in a sheltered spot outside. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 4 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. A box holds 4.84 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 23 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. There is far more grout per square foot here than with a big tile. Pick the grout colour deliberately, because it is half of what you will see. It is on display in Mississauga and Barrie if you want to see a full sheet rather than a photograph.
