About this product
Kauri Fiordland, 8" x 48", is large format, so you get far fewer grout lines and a floor that reads as one surface rather than a grid. A natural finish holds grip when it is wet and does not show water spotting the way a polished face does. The density is the point with porcelain: very little water gets in, which is what keeps it stable in a bathroom or a laundry. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 4 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. Work on 15.5 sq ft a box. That puts a 100 sq ft floor at 8 boxes with ten percent in hand, which is what you want for cuts and breakage. Come and see it in Mississauga or Barrie. Tile rarely looks the same in a store as it does on a phone screen.
