The detail behind that: This is an SPC floor, stone polymer composite, which means a dense rigid core that stays dead flat and dimensionally stable. It will not expand, contract, or telegraph small subfloor flaws the way flexible vinyl can, and it floats into place over most existing surfaces. The 20 mil wear layer puts it in heavy-residential, light-commercial territory, which is where vinyl earns its keep in a family home. On vinyl, that mil number is the best single predictor of how long the floor keeps looking new, more than thickness or price. Because it is 100% waterproof rather than just water-resistant, you can put it in the rooms that rule out wood and laminate, full baths, laundry rooms, kitchens, and basements. An attached acoustic underlayment cuts down sound transfer and adds a little underfoot comfort, and it saves a separate pad on install. Planks run up to 9 inches wide and 71 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. A low-sheen matte finish keeps glare and footprints down. Painted micro-bevelled edges frame each plank and hide the seams. It is also FloorScore certified for indoor air quality. It is backed by a Lifetime residential and 15-year commercial warranty.
