Unifloor Aquafix Dryback Vinyl Plank Flooring
Most vinyl floors look fine in the box; what separates them is the wear layer, the thing that decides whether the floor still looks new in five years.
In simple terms: Unifloor Aquafix Dryback is luxury vinyl plank, a wood-look floor that is 100% waterproof and built to take real-life traffic. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.
This is a glue-down (dryback) vinyl, meaning each plank is adhered directly to the subfloor rather than floated. That makes it rock-solid underfoot with no movement or hollow sound, ideal for big open areas and commercial rooms, and a single plank can be replaced without disturbing the rest. A flat, dry subfloor is essential. It has a 20 mil wear layer, the sweet spot for busy homes and light commercial rooms, well above the builder-grade 6 to 12 mil you find in big-box vinyl. On vinyl, that mil number is the best single predictor of how long the floor keeps looking new, more than thickness or price. Water is a non-issue: it is 100% waterproof through the whole plank, which is what makes it the go-to for bathrooms, kitchens, and below-grade rooms. Planks run up to 12 inches wide and 48 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. A low-sheen matte finish keeps glare and footprints down. It is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality. It is backed by a 30-year residential and 15-year commercial warranty. Colours in the range include Predator Ridge, Canmore, Crystal Ridge, Eagle Ranch, and Tobiano.
Decision line: Aquafix Dryback is the pick when you want a flat, glued-down floor for a big or busy space, provided the subfloor is smooth and level.
Our own crew installs Unifloor Aquafix Dryback across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted. Glue-down vinyl rewards a flat, dry subfloor, so prep is where we spend the time, then finish the trim and transitions. See our vinyl installation page.
We keep Aquafix Dryback at both showrooms, where the texture and colour read properly. Contact us for stock, or start from our Toronto and Mississauga vinyl pages. The is flooring waterproof guide breaks down how waterproof vinyl compares.
