Why Brookside Stands Out

Most laminate fails at the joints, not the surface, and it fails first in the rooms that see water.

In simple terms: Next Floor Brookside is a 12mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate. It is meant for the rooms where water is part of daily life, and our own crew installs it.

Because of that core, Brookside holds up in the rooms that sink a standard laminate: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries. The range includes tones such as Nova Scotia Oak, Breckenridge, Keystone, Beaver Creek, and Silverton.

The build behind that: Brookside runs a 12mm board on the thicker end of the range, which gives a solid, quiet step and bridges minor subfloor irregularities better than thin planks. It carries an AC4 wear rating, a step above standard that holds up to busy family households, hallways, and main floors. The surface is embossed in register, so the texture lines up with the printed grain and the floor reads and feels like real wood rather than a flat photo. It installs with a click-lock system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. It has a water-resistant core, which lets it handle the spills and humidity that would swell a standard laminate at the joints.

Decision line: Brookside is the pick wherever water is a factor, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries; keep a standard laminate for the dry rooms to save.

Our own in-house team installs Next Floor Brookside across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted. A floating laminate is only as good as the floor under it, so we level the subfloor, set the right underlayment, and finish the trim. See our laminate installation page.

We keep Brookside at both stores so you can judge it under room light. contact us about availability, or browse the full water-resistant laminate range for more options.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Next Floor Brookside?
Next Floor Brookside is a 12mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate. It is built to handle water in kitchens, baths, and entries, where standard laminate tends to fail at the seams. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and installs it with our own crew.
Is Brookside actually waterproof?
Brookside is a water-resistant core, which lets it handle the spills and humidity that would swell a standard laminate at the joints. Standing water left for long stretches should still be wiped up, but everyday spills, pet bowls, and wet boots will not swell the seams the way they do on ordinary laminate.
Which rooms is Brookside suitable for?
An ac4 wear rating. In practice that covers main floors, hallways, living rooms, and busy family spaces, and its water-resistant core adds kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries.
Where can I see Brookside near me?
You can see Next Floor Brookside at both Squarefoot Flooring showrooms, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. A full plank under room light reads very differently from a photo, so we recommend seeing a sample before deciding.
