In simple terms: Shaw Floors Aspire 3381V is luxury vinyl plank, a wood-look floor that is 100% waterproof and built to take real-life traffic. It is WPC, Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.

Here is what matters on this one. The core is WPC, wood-polymer composite, the more comfortable of the rigid cores. It has a touch more give than stone-based SPC, so it feels softer and warmer to walk on while staying stable and flat. The 20 mil wear layer puts it in heavy-residential, light-commercial territory, which is where vinyl earns its keep in a family home. With vinyl, the mil rating tells you more about longevity than the overall thickness does. It is 100% waterproof top to bottom, not merely water-resistant, so kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements, and entries are all fair game. An attached acoustic underlayment cuts down sound transfer and adds a little underfoot comfort, and it saves a separate pad on install. Planks run up to 9 inches wide and 60 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. It is backed by a Resilient Lifetime residential warranty.
