Anderson Tuftex Diego Anderson Tuftex Broadloom Carpet
Broadloom carpet is the wall-to-wall classic: a wide roll stretched over a cushion for a soft, near-continuous floor. Picking the right one is about matching the pile and fiber to how the room is used.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Diego Anderson Tuftex is roll carpet for wall-to-wall installation, the soft, quiet, warm floor for the rooms where comfort matters most. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it with its own team.
Here is what matters with this one. This is a cut-and-loop construction: mixing cut and looped yarns creates a sculpted pattern that disguises dirt and traffic while giving the floor texture and depth. It is built on nylon, prized for resilience: nylon recovers its shape under traffic and wears longer than softer fibers, which is why it is the go-to for stairs, hallways, and high-use family rooms. It sits on a Softbac backing, softer and more pliable than an old-style rigid backing, so it tucks neatly around a room and resists the rippling that stiffer backings can develop. Its 36 oz per square yard face weight is on the lighter side, a fit for bedrooms and quieter rooms. The 12-foot roll width means fewer seams across a room, and we place the ones you do need where they show least. It is manufactured in the USA. Colours in the range include Parchment.
Broadloom is at its best in bedrooms, living and family rooms, stairs, hallways, and finished basements, the rooms where warmth, softness, and sound control matter. It is the one floor that makes a staircase quieter and safer underfoot. The one place to avoid carpet is a wet room like a bathroom or laundry.
Most broadloom installs by the stretch-in method, and the cushion underneath matters as much as the carpet. Our own crew, employees rather than subcontractors, tacks down perimeter strips, lays a quality carpet underpad, then power-stretches the carpet tight and heat-seams any joins so they disappear. A properly stretched floor over the right pad is what keeps carpet looking good and feeling soft for years. Browse our projects to see our work.
Decision line: Diego Anderson Tuftex is built for real use, the carpet to choose for stairs, family rooms, and high-traffic areas that still need to feel soft.
