Roca Tile's Calacata Gold is a 24" x 48" matte porcelain tile in a marble look, veined across the face, made in Brazil and 7 mm thick. Roca Calacata Gold is for bedrooms, living areas and bathrooms. It solves the everyday residential floor: hard-wearing enough for daily use, without paying for a commercial-grade body. That is what the PEI 3 wear rating means in practice. It also means the substrate has to be flat, because a tight joint leaves nowhere to hide a dip. Pair it with a matching bullnose or a metal trim at the edges, an uncoupling membrane over a concrete slab, and a large-format mortar, because a tile this size needs full coverage under it.
