Calacata Gold is a 12" x 24" porcelain tile with rectified edges, cut square after firing so the grout joint can close to about an eighth of an inch. Marble-look porcelain carries the veining without the sealing, etching and acid sensitivity of quarried stone. Porcelain is pressed and fired denser than ceramic, which is what lets it take water, frost and daily traffic. A polished face reads brighter than a matte tile of the same colour, and shows footmarks sooner. Porcelain of this density suits floors and walls through the home.
