Why Metropolitan Stands Out

A commercial kitchen floor takes grease, hot water and carts all day. Quarry tile is the dense, unglazed clay tile made for that work.

In simple terms: Olympia Tile Metropolitan is quarry for floors and walls, in small-format tile and trim pieces.

Quarry tile is a dense, unglazed clay tile made for hard-working floors such as commercial kitchens, and the colour runs through the whole tile.

Choose Olympia Tile Metropolitan for kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, walls and busy commercial floors. Skip it for outdoor use, unless the product page lists that item as outdoor-rated.

Each product page lists the exact size, finish, thickness and box coverage for that item, so check it there before you order.

Our own installation crews fit what we sell, residential and commercial, across Toronto, Mississauga, Barrie and Simcoe County. No subcontractors.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Olympia Metropolitan?
Olympia Tile Metropolitan is quarry, in unglazed, abrasive, non-slip and anti-slip abrasive finishes, as small-format tile and trim pieces. It suits kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, walls and busy commercial floors. You can see it at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4) and our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4).
Where can Metropolitan be used?
It depends on the format and rating of the piece you choose. Floor-rated tiles handle floors and walls; wall tiles stay on walls. We confirm the right use for each format at the store.
Do you install Metropolitan?
Yes, with our own employed installation crews rather than subcontractors, for residential and commercial projects. Tile work is quoted with preparation, waterproofing where needed, and grout included, so the number you get is the whole job.
Where can I see Metropolitan near me?
You can see it at both Squarefoot Flooring stores, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. A full sample under room light reads very differently from a photo, so come compare it in person before deciding.
