About this product
The Velvet Gris in 11" x 33" is large format, so you get far fewer grout lines and a floor that reads as one surface rather than a grid. The polish throws light around, which helps a dark room, but a polished face is slick once it is wet. Worth thinking twice before it goes on a shower floor or just inside a front door. Porcelain is the hard wearing one, which is why it ends up in the rooms that get walked through. PEI 5 is the top of the wear scale. It will take commercial traffic without showing it. A box holds 10.44 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 11 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
