Midgley West Supreme Royal Statuario Tile 24"x48" - Honed

Supreme Royal Statuario at 24" x 48" is large format, so you get far fewer grout lines and a floor that reads as one surface rather than a grid. Honed is the flat, soft sheen you get from grinding without buffing. It looks calmer than a polish and marks less obviously. The low absorption is the reason porcelain ends up in wet rooms and entries. It takes water, salt and grit without complaint. The PEI 2 rating puts it in a bathroom or a bedroom. It is not rated for a hallway or a kitchen floor. A box holds 15.5 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 8 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
