Midgley West Supreme Golden Calacatta Tile 12"x24" - Honed

Supreme Golden Calacatta at 12" x 24" hits the middle. Fewer grout lines than a small tile, none of the handling that comes with large format. A honed surface sits between matte and polished: a little depth, none of the glare, and better underfoot than a full polish. Porcelain absorbs almost no water, which is what lets it go into a shower, a mudroom or a covered porch without any fuss. The PEI 2 rating puts it in a bathroom or a bedroom. It is not rated for a hallway or a kitchen floor. A box holds 11.63 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 10 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. Both the Mississauga and Barrie stores keep it out, so you can put it beside your cabinet door or a paint chip before you commit.
