About this product
The Supreme Golden Calacatta in 6" x 6" suits a small room. More grout lines than a big tile, but in a powder room or a laundry that is the point: fewer awkward cuts around the fixtures. A honed surface sits between matte and polished: a little depth, none of the glare, and better underfoot than a full polish. The density is the point with porcelain: very little water gets in, which is what keeps it stable in a bathroom or a laundry. The PEI 2 rating puts it in a bathroom or a bedroom. It is not rated for a hallway or a kitchen floor. A box holds 6.46 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 18 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
