About this product
The Marquina Nero in 48" x 110" is a panel rather than a tile. It is a two-person lift and a specialist install, and the payoff is a surface with almost no joints in it. The polish throws light around, which helps a dark room, but a polished face is slick once it is wet. Worth thinking twice before it goes on a shower floor or just inside a front door. Fired denser and harder than ceramic, porcelain takes traffic without showing it. The PEI 2 rating puts it in a bathroom or a bedroom. It is not rated for a hallway or a kitchen floor. A box holds 36.66 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 4 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. It is on display in Mississauga and Barrie if you want to see a full sheet rather than a photograph.
