Imperial Nero Imperiale at 24" x 48" is large format, so you get far fewer grout lines and a floor that reads as one surface rather than a grid. A polished face looks deeper and brighter than a matte one. It also shows footprints and gets slippery wet, so place it accordingly. Porcelain is fired dense all the way through, so a chip does not show a different colour underneath the way it can on a glazed ceramic. PEI 4 is rated past residential traffic, so a busy hallway, a shop floor or an office is within range. A box holds 15.5 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 8 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. Both the Mississauga and Barrie stores keep it out, so you can put it beside your cabinet door or a paint chip before you commit.
