Imperial Michelangelo Bianco Apuano at 12" x 24" hits the middle. Fewer grout lines than a small tile, none of the handling that comes with large format. A polished face looks deeper and brighter than a matte one. It also shows footprints and gets slippery wet, so place it accordingly. Fired denser and harder than ceramic, porcelain takes traffic without showing it. PEI 4 is rated past residential traffic, so a busy hallway, a shop floor or an office is within range. A box holds 11.63 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 10 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece.
