Imperial Calacatta Bianco, 24" x 24", hits the middle. Fewer grout lines than a small tile, none of the handling that comes with large format. A polished face looks deeper and brighter than a matte one. It also shows footprints and gets slippery wet, so place it accordingly. Fired denser and harder than ceramic, porcelain takes traffic without showing it. PEI 4 is rated past residential traffic, so a busy hallway, a shop floor or an office is within range. A box holds 11.63 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 10 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
