Midgley West Imperial Calacatta Bianco Tile 12"x48" - Polished

The Imperial Calacatta Bianco in 12" x 48" covers ground fast and leaves very little grout, which is most of the appeal. Budget for a flat substrate and a second pair of hands. Polished gives you the reflective surface, and the trade is grip: wet polished tile is slippery, so keep it off a wet floor and enjoy it on a wall or a dry room. Porcelain is fired dense all the way through, so a chip does not show a different colour underneath the way it can on a glazed ceramic. PEI 4 is rated past residential traffic, so a busy hallway, a shop floor or an office is within range. A box holds 11.63 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 10 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
