Centura Piacentina Calcite Matte Porcelain 12" x 24"

Centura lists Piacentina Calcite in the Piacentina range: a 12" x 24" porcelain tile. The surface is a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Shade variation is rated V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 12" x 24" format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. Underfoot it is rated R9, the rating for dry interior floors. Frost resistance means it can be laid outdoors or in an unheated space without spalling through a freeze-thaw cycle. It is approved for floor and wall installation, so wall and floor areas of the same room can be tiled from one order. Rectified edges mean the tile is cut square after firing and will take a tight 2 to 3 mm joint, provided the substrate is flat. The body measures 8.5 mm. The suggested grout is 908 - Dove Grey. Boxes hold 6 pieces and cover 11.96 sq ft, or 1.9932 sq ft a piece.
