Power Dekor Basik3 Laminate

In a bedroom or living room, laminate is the practical wood-look floor, as long as the durability matches the traffic.

In simple terms: Power Dekor Basik3 is a 12mm AC3 rated laminate. It is a durable wood-look floor for the dry rooms of a home, and our own crew installs it.

The Basik3 range is built around an embossed-in-register wood-grain surface. The range includes tones such as Sundial Oak, Southbeach Oak, Stonewall Oak, Township Maple, and Native Hickory.

The construction backs up the look. Basik3 runs a 12mm board on the thicker end of the range, which gives a solid, quiet step and bridges minor subfloor irregularities better than thin planks. It carries an AC3 wear rating, suited to normal residential traffic such as bedrooms and quieter living areas. The core is high density fiberboard low (VOC) emissions core. The surface is embossed in register, so the texture lines up with the printed grain and the floor reads and feels like real wood rather than a flat photo. It installs with a click-lock system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. It is also scratch resistant. That suits Basik3 to bedrooms, dens, and quieter living areas; for kitchens, baths, and entries, step up to a water-resistant laminate.

Decision line: Basik3 is a sensible bedroom and living-room floor; for wet or high-traffic areas, move up to a higher wear rating or a water-resistant core.
