Anderson Tuftex Perfect Choice Anderson Tuftex Broadloom Carpet
Soft underfoot, warm in winter, and quiet in a busy house, broadloom carpet earns its place in bedrooms and lower levels, as long as you match the construction to the traffic.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Perfect Choice Anderson Tuftex is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind that comes on a wide roll and is stretched over a separate cushion for a soft, warm, quiet floor. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.
The style and the build: This is a plush cut pile, where the yarns stand upright for a smooth, refined surface that is lovely underfoot. Plush does reveal footprints and tracking, so it is happiest in quieter rooms rather than a busy hallway. It is built on nylon, prized for resilience: nylon recovers its shape under traffic and wears longer than softer fibers, which is why it is the go-to for stairs, hallways, and high-use family rooms. A Softbac backing is more flexible and quieter than a traditional stiff backing, which makes it easier to fit cleanly around a room and less prone to wrinkling over time. At a dense 64 oz per square yard of face weight, there is a lot of yarn underfoot, which reads as a plusher, more substantial carpet. The 12-foot roll width means fewer seams across a room, and we place the ones you do need where they show least. It is manufactured in the USA. Colours in the range include Blue Jeans, Chelsea Fog, Cocoa Sand, Misty Dawn, and Sugar Cookie.
Good fits are bedrooms, living rooms, basements, home offices, and especially stairs, where carpet adds grip and hushes footsteps. It is warm and sound-absorbing, the opposite of a hard floor. The exception is wet rooms, where a waterproof hard surface is the better call.
Decision line: choose Perfect Choice Anderson Tuftex for a bedroom or formal room where a soft, smooth, plush surface matters more than hiding footprints.
This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish. Doing the stretch and the pad right is what prevents wrinkles and wear down the line. See our projects for past jobs.
