Anderson Tuftex Diego Broadloom Carpet

Anderson Tuftex Diego is a cut & loop pile broadloom carpet, nylon, carried and installed by Squarefoot Flooring. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms.

Soft underfoot, warm in winter, and quiet in a busy house, broadloom carpet earns its place in bedrooms and lower levels, as long as you match the construction to the traffic.

In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Diego is traditional wall-to-wall carpet, installed over an underpad for comfort and sound control. It is a soft, warm choice for bedrooms, stairs, and living spaces, and we install it in-house.

Broadloom is at its best in bedrooms, living and family rooms, stairs, hallways, and finished basements, the rooms where warmth, softness, and sound control matter. It is the one floor that makes a staircase quieter and safer underfoot. The one place to avoid carpet is a wet room like a bathroom or laundry.

The detail behind that: This is a cut-and-loop construction: mixing cut and looped yarns creates a sculpted pattern that disguises dirt and traffic while giving the floor texture and depth. The fiber is nylon, the most resilient carpet fiber there is: it springs back from foot traffic instead of matting down, takes cleaning well, and holds up on stairs and in busy rooms better than any other fiber. A Softbac backing is more flexible and quieter than a traditional stiff backing, which makes it easier to fit cleanly around a room and less prone to wrinkling over time. Its 36 oz per square yard face weight is on the lighter side, a fit for bedrooms and quieter rooms. Sold on 12-foot rolls, it covers most rooms with minimal seaming, which our installers plan to fall in low-traffic spots. It is USA-made. Colours in the range include Adobe Beige, Antique, Apparition, Bay Shore, Broken Arrow, and Coastal Home.

Broadloom is stretched in over a separate underpad, not glued, and the install is where it is won or lost. Our in-house team sets the tack strips, lays the carpet underpad, power-stretches the carpet so it stays taut, and heat-seams the seams flat. We handle stairs and transitions too. See our projects for examples.

Decision line: Diego is built for real use, the carpet to choose for stairs, family rooms, and high-traffic areas that still need to feel soft.

See Diego in person before deciding, since pile and colour shift across a room and under different light. It is at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms; contact us about availability, and if it is for a lower level, our best flooring for a basement guide is worth a read.
