Anderson Tuftex Artifact Anderson Tuftex Broadloom Carpet
For bedrooms, stairs, and family rooms, nothing beats wall-to-wall carpet for warmth and quiet, and the choice really comes down to two things: the pile style and the fiber.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Artifact Anderson Tuftex is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind that comes on a wide roll and is stretched over a separate cushion for a soft, warm, quiet floor. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.
The style and the build: This is a tip-sheared loop, mixing cut tips with loops for a subtly patterned, traffic-hiding surface that is softer underfoot than a plain loop. The yarn is nylon, the workhorse of carpet fiber. It resists crushing, bounces back after furniture and feet, and cleans up well, so it keeps its look in the rooms that get used hardest. It sits on a Softbac backing, softer and more pliable than an old-style rigid backing, so it tucks neatly around a room and resists the rippling that stiffer backings can develop. Its 36 to 45 oz per square yard face weight is solid residential density, a good balance of feel and value. Sold on 12-foot rolls, it covers most rooms with minimal seaming, which our installers plan to fall in low-traffic spots. It is USA-made. Colours in the range include Pearl, Early Snow, Daylily, Sparkling, Linen, and Cashmere.
Think bedrooms, family rooms, home theatres, stairs, and lower levels: anywhere you want a soft, warm, quiet floor. Carpet also absorbs sound between rooms and floors, which helps in condos and busy households. Keep it out of bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms where moisture is a constant.
Decision line: Artifact Anderson Tuftex is the durable, soil-hiding pick for stairs, hallways, and busy rooms; if you have pets that claw, ask us about a cut-pile alternative.
Most broadloom installs by the stretch-in method, and the cushion underneath matters as much as the carpet. Our own crew, employees rather than subcontractors, tacks down perimeter strips, lays a quality carpet underpad, then power-stretches the carpet tight and heat-seams any joins so they disappear. A properly stretched floor over the right pad is what keeps carpet looking good and feeling soft for years. Browse our projects to see our work.
See Artifact Anderson Tuftex in person before deciding, since pile and colour shift across a room and under different light. It is at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms; contact us about availability, and if it is for a lower level, our best flooring for a basement guide is worth a read. The full Anderson Tuftex lineup is worth a look as well.
