Nord Carbon is a 6" matte porcelain mosaic from Anatolia Tile. The face gives you a matte face that absorbs light rather than bouncing it. Shade variation is graded V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that stops the installation looking printed. A hexagon format gives the wall or floor a pattern of its own. In a home it suits kitchens, entry halls and main-floor living areas. On commercial jobs it turns up in retail floors, restaurant and cafe dining rooms and hotel lobbies. On paper that means a DCOF of 0.50, at or above the 0.42 threshold ANSI sets for level interior floors expected to be walked on wet, Class 4 abrasion resistance, a slip rating of R10 and Mohs hardness 8. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm on a flat substrate. The body is color body porcelain. Boxes hold 10 pieces and cover 7.97 sq ft.
