Nord Carbon is a 12" x 24" matte porcelain tile from Anatolia Tile. Visually it offers a matte face that absorbs light rather than bouncing it. Expect variation of V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that stops the installation looking printed. Residentially it works in kitchens, entry halls and main-floor living areas. It also carries commercial use in retail floors, restaurant and cafe dining rooms and hotel lobbies. On paper that means a DCOF of 0.50, at or above the 0.42 threshold ANSI sets for level interior floors expected to be walked on wet, Class 4 abrasion resistance, a slip rating of R10 and Mohs hardness 8. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm on a flat substrate. The body measures 9 mm. Boxes hold 6 pieces and cover 11.41 sq ft. Made in Turkey.
