1867 Floors New Town Engineered Hardwood

1867 Floors New Town is birch engineered hardwood, real wood over a stable core. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

Real wood on top, a stable core underneath: that combination is why engineered hardwood ends up in more Toronto condos and finished basements than solid ever could.

In simple terms: 1867 Floors New Town is real birch over a multi-ply core. The surface is the same wood you would get in a solid floor; the core is what keeps it flat over a slab, in a basement, or through the seasons. We stock it and our crew installs it.

Decision line: choose New Town when you want genuine hardwood that will stay flat over a slab or in a basement.

The detail behind that: It is real birch, a smooth, even grain with gentle colour movement. On the Janka scale Birch runs about 1260, about as hard as oak, fine for daily household use. Stability comes from the build: a multi-ply core that takes the seasonal swing in stride instead of telegraphing it into the floor. Planks run 4.875 inches wide. Colours in the range include Melbourne.

Installation is in-house and never subcontracted, across the Toronto and Mississauga area up to Barrie and Simcoe County. Engineered board can be glued over a slab, floated, or nailed down, so we assess the subfloor, test for moisture, and pick the right method. Browse our projects or the hardwood installation page.

A small sample never shows how New Town moves across a whole room. See it at our Mississauga or Barrie showroom, contact us about availability, and compare materials on the hardwood vs vinyl guide.
