This is a glue-down luxury vinyl plank, a flexible plank bonded straight to the subfloor. Glued down, it lies dead flat with no hollow sound, handles large open spans and commercial traffic, and lets you swap a single damaged plank without lifting the floor. It does need a smooth, flat, dry subfloor to look its best. The 20 mil wear layer puts it in heavy-residential, light-commercial territory, which is where vinyl earns its keep in a family home. With vinyl, the mil rating tells you more about longevity than the overall thickness does. Because it is 100% waterproof rather than just water-resistant, you can put it in the rooms that rule out wood and laminate, full baths, laundry rooms, kitchens, and basements. Planks run up to 7 inches wide and 48 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. Colours in the range include Carbon, Hazel, Tuscany, Cliffside, and Latte.
