In simple terms: Woden Flooring 8 is a wood-look vinyl plank that handles water, pets, and busy rooms without complaint. We carry it and install it in-house.

The build and the spec: This is loose lay vinyl, with a heavy grippy backing that holds it by friction and weight, no glue and no clicking. That makes it quick to lay and just as quick to lift and replace, which is why it suits offices, rentals, and rooms where you may need to get under the floor later. It has a 20 mil wear layer, the sweet spot for busy homes and light commercial rooms, well above the builder-grade 6 to 12 mil you find in big-box vinyl. With vinyl, the mil rating tells you more about longevity than the overall thickness does. It is 100% waterproof top to bottom, not merely water-resistant, so kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements, and entries are all fair game. Planks run up to 7 inches wide and 48 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood.
