The build and the spec: The core here is SPC, a stone-and-polymer composite that is denser and more rigid than standard vinyl. That rigidity is what lets it sit flat over an imperfect subfloor and hold its shape year-round, and it installs as a floating click floor. It has a 22 mil wear layer, the sweet spot for busy homes and light commercial rooms, well above the builder-grade 6 to 12 mil you find in big-box vinyl. With vinyl, the mil rating tells you more about longevity than the overall thickness does. It is 100% waterproof top to bottom, not merely water-resistant, so kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements, and entries are all fair game. Planks run up to 9 inches wide and 60 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. An embossed surface adds real texture underfoot rather than a flat printed face. It is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality. Colours in the range include Night Freeze, Camellia, Moon Fly, Vintage Cream, and Silver Mist.
