MSI Surfaces Smithcliffs Vinyl Plank Flooring
Vinyl has quietly become the floor of choice for kitchens, basements, and busy households, and for one simple reason: water does not bother it.
In simple terms: MSI Surfaces Smithcliffs gives you the look of real wood in a waterproof, hard-wearing vinyl floor. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it with our own team.
Here is what matters on this one. This is a rigid-core vinyl plank, engineered to stay flat and stable over uneven subfloors and through temperature swings, and it floats into place without glue. It has a 20 mil wear layer, the sweet spot for busy homes and light commercial rooms, well above the builder-grade 6 to 12 mil you find in big-box vinyl. On vinyl, that mil number is the best single predictor of how long the floor keeps looking new, more than thickness or price. Water is a non-issue: it is 100% waterproof through the whole plank, which is what makes it the go-to for bathrooms, kitchens, and below-grade rooms. Planks run up to 11 inches wide and 50 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. Painted micro-bevelled edges frame each plank and hide the seams. Colours in the range include Cloudland, Doverville, Sunnyvale, Delray, and Driftway.
Decision line: Smithcliffs is a practical, waterproof floor for the rooms where wood and laminate struggle, kitchens, baths, basements, and entries.
Our own crew installs MSI Surfaces Smithcliffs across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted. A floating vinyl floor still needs a clean, flat base, so we level and prep first, then finish the trim and transitions. See our vinyl installation page.
A sample chip never shows how Smithcliffs looks across a whole room. See it at our Mississauga or Barrie store, contact us about availability, and compare materials on the vinyl vs laminate guide.
