Richmond Tile Carrara Select Gioia 24x48 Honed Rectified

Carrara Select Gioia Honed Rectified, 24" x 48", is large enough that the subfloor has to be flat first, because a tile this size telegraphs every dip underneath. The look is worth the prep. Honed is the flat, soft sheen you get from grinding without buffing. It looks calmer than a polish and marks less obviously. Fired harder and denser than ceramic, porcelain copes with freeze and thaw as well, so a covered porch or a three season room is fair game. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
