In simple terms: Richmond Flooring Eternal is a wood-look vinyl plank that handles water, pets, and busy rooms without complaint. We carry it and install it in-house.

The build and the spec: This is an rigid-core floor, stone polymer composite, which means a dense rigid core that stays dead flat and dimensionally stable. It will not expand, contract, or telegraph small subfloor flaws the way flexible vinyl can, and it floats into place over most existing surfaces. The 20 mil wear layer puts it in heavy-residential, light-commercial territory, which is where vinyl earns its keep in a family home. With vinyl, the mil rating tells you more about longevity than the overall thickness does. Because it is 100% waterproof rather than just water-resistant, you can put it in the rooms that rule out wood and laminate, full baths, laundry rooms, kitchens, and basements. Planks run up to 7 inches wide and 48 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. A low-sheen matte finish keeps glare and footprints down. Micro-bevelled edges define each plank for a more authentic look. On the health side, it is GREENGUARD certified. It is backed by a Lifetime residential and 15-year commercial warranty.
