In simple terms: Beaulieu Omega+ OMP01 is a wood-look sheet vinyl, the roll-and-glue floor that keeps water out by having almost no seams. It is comfortable underfoot and economical, and Squarefoot Flooring stocks and installs it.

The build and the spec: Sold in 12-foot-wide rolls, it covers most rooms wall to wall in one piece, which means few or no seams across the floor. A cushioned foam backing makes it soft, warm, and quiet underfoot, which you notice most in kitchens and rooms you stand in. A 10 mil wear layer suits everyday residential rooms; for a heavy-traffic space, the thicker-wear-layer lines hold up longer. At 3.55mm it is among the thicker sheet floors, which adds to the cushioned feel. With almost no seams, water has nowhere to seep, so it is a natural fit for the wettest rooms in a house: bathrooms, laundry, mudrooms, and basements. A polyurethane wear surface helps it clean up easily and resist scuffs. It is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality and phthalate-free. Colours in the range include Odyssey Oak Oat, Pandora Bone, Stellar Oak Peanut, Stellar Oak Cream, Stardust Charcoal, and Stellar Oak Fog.

Sheet vinyl is glued down, so the subfloor decides the result.
