Richmond Flooring Omega Vinyl Plank Flooring

Richmond Flooring Omega is luxury vinyl plank with a rigid SPC core, 100% waterproof, a 20 mil wear layer, carried and installed by Squarefoot Flooring. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

Most vinyl floors look fine in the box; what separates them is the wear layer, the thing that decides whether the floor still looks new in five years.

In simple terms: Richmond Flooring Omega gives you the look of real wood in a waterproof, hard-wearing vinyl floor. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it with our own team.

Decision line: Omega is the choice when you want a thin, rock-solid, fully waterproof floor that hides an imperfect subfloor and goes just about anywhere.

The detail behind that: This is an SPC floor, stone polymer composite, which means a dense rigid core that stays dead flat and dimensionally stable. It will not expand, contract, or telegraph small subfloor flaws the way flexible vinyl can, and it floats into place over most existing surfaces. It has a 20 mil wear layer, the sweet spot for busy homes and light commercial rooms, well above the builder-grade 6 to 12 mil you find in big-box vinyl. With vinyl, the mil rating tells you more about longevity than the overall thickness does. Because it is 100% waterproof rather than just water-resistant, you can put it in the rooms that rule out wood and laminate, full baths, laundry rooms, kitchens, and basements. It comes with an attached acoustic pad, which softens sound between floors and means one less layer to buy and lay. Planks run up to 10 inches wide and 60 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. Micro-bevelled edges define each plank for a more authentic look. It is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality and GREENGUARD certified. It is backed by a Lifetime residential and 15-year commercial warranty. Colours in the range include Honey Oak, Coastal Breeze, Serene Oak, Natural Oak, and Natural Maple.

Our own crew installs Richmond Flooring Omega across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted. A floating vinyl floor still needs a clean, flat base, so we level and prep first, then finish the trim and transitions. See our vinyl installation page.

Vinyl reads differently across a full floor than in a small sample, so it is worth seeing Omega in person at either showroom. Contact us to check current stock, or browse the full vinyl plank range. For more on what waterproof really means, see our is flooring waterproof guide.
