Olympia Tile Unica Deep Dark Polished Porcelain Tile 35" x 35"

Real marble etches, stains and needs sealing. Unica Deep Dark gives you the marble look on porcelain that does not.

In simple terms: Unica Deep Dark is a 35x35 marble look porcelain tile for dry floors and walls, indoors.

It is the polished finish in Deep Dark from the Olympia Tile Unica range. It has a marble and stone look. The actual size is 35.04" x 35.04", or 89 x 89 cm.

It is 9 mm thick. The body is coloured to match the surface, so a chip shows less than it would on a white-body tile. It is rated for medium to high commercial traffic. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself does not need sealing.

It suits living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, hallways away from the entry door, kitchen backsplashes, shower and bathroom walls, feature walls and busy commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it over real marble when you want the veining without sealing or etching.

Each box holds 2 pieces and covers 17.06 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft living room floor takes 9 boxes, or 10 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 7 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but a polished face gets slick when wet, so we would not put it on a patio, steps or a pool deck. On a floor, keep the polished face out of showers and away from entry doors where wet boots come in, because it gets slick when wet.

In this size, Unica also comes in Cloud Grey and Green. Deep Dark also comes in 30" x 60".

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Olympia Tile Unica Deep Dark in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
