Olympia Tile Mare Sand Matte Porcelain Tile 12" x 24"

Large tile means fewer grout lines to scrub, and a room reads bigger with them. Mare Sand gives you that in 12" x 24".

In simple terms: Mare Sand is a 12x24 porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors.

It is the matte finish in Sand from the Olympia Tile Mare range. The actual size is 11.81" x 23.62", or 30 x 60 cm.

It is 8 mm thick. It is rated for medium commercial traffic. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself does not need sealing.

It suits open-plan floors, living areas, basements and shower and bathroom walls. Pick it over a smaller tile when you want fewer grout lines; pick smaller if the floor is out of level.

Each box holds 8 pieces and covers 15.5 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 10 boxes, or 11 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 8 boxes with the 10% extra included.

No outdoor rating is listed, so keep it indoors: no porches, patios or exterior walls.

In this size, Mare also comes in Grey, Ivory and White. Sand also comes in 13" x 13".

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Olympia Tile Mare Sand in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
