Why Gem Stands Out

Picking tile from a photo is how people end up with a floor they did not expect. Gem is porcelain you can see in full at our showrooms.

In simple terms: Olympia Tile Gem is porcelain for floors and walls, in small-format tile.

Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself does not need sealing.

What the Olympia Tile Gem range covers:

  • Finish: Glossy
  • Formats: small-format tile
  • Body: glazed porcelain
  • Thickness: 9 mm
  • Commercial rating: light traffic
  • Use: floors and walls
  • Sold by the square foot, in full boxes

Choose Olympia Tile Gem for kitchens, bathrooms, living areas and walls. Skip it for wet floors and entries, where a polished or glossy face gets slick; and for outdoor use, since no outdoor rating is listed.

Each product page lists the exact size, finish, thickness and box coverage for that item, so check it there before you order.

Our own installation crews fit what we sell, residential and commercial, across Toronto, Mississauga, Barrie and Simcoe County. No subcontractors.

Bring your measurements and a photo of the room to either showroom. Call our Mississauga showroom at 905-277-2227 or our Barrie showroom at 705-726-2272.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Olympia Gem?
Olympia Tile Gem is porcelain, in a glossy finish, as small-format tile. It suits kitchens, bathrooms, living areas and walls. You can see it at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4) and our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4).
Where can Gem be used?
Porcelain is fired dense, so floors, walls and wet areas are all in play, including showers and entries. Match the finish to the room: polished surfaces are slick when wet, matte and textured finishes grip better.
Do you install Gem?
Yes, with our own employed installation crews rather than subcontractors, for residential and commercial projects. Tile work is quoted with preparation, waterproofing where needed, and grout included, so the number you get is the whole job.
Where can I see Gem near me?
You can see it at both Squarefoot Flooring stores, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. A full sample under room light reads very differently from a photo, so come compare it in person before deciding.
