Olympia Tile Gem Nero Glossy Porcelain Décor Tile 5" x 10"

A plain, solid-colour tile is the safe base for a room, since it works with any cabinet, vanity or wall colour. Gem Nero Décor is that kind of tile.

In simple terms: Gem Nero Décor is a 5x10 porcelain tile for dry floors and walls, indoors.

It is the glossy finish in Nero from the Olympia Tile Gem range. The pattern or piece type is décor. The actual size is 4.92" x 9.84", or 12.5 x 25 cm.

It is 9 mm thick. It is rated for light commercial traffic. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself does not need sealing.

It suits living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, hallways away from the entry door, kitchen backsplashes, shower and bathroom walls and feature walls. Pick it when you want the floor or wall to sit quietly behind the cabinets and fixtures.

Each box holds 26 pieces and covers 8.71 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft living room floor takes 18 boxes, or 19 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 13 boxes with the 10% extra included.

No outdoor rating is listed, so keep it indoors: no porches, patios or exterior walls. On a floor, keep the glossy face out of showers and away from entry doors where wet boots come in, because it gets slick when wet. Its commercial rating is light traffic, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

In this size, Gem also comes in Argento Silver, Bianco, Caraibi and Cobalt. Nero also comes in 2.5" x 10".

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Olympia Tile Gem Nero Décor in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
