Midgley West Statuario Tile 24"x48" - Polished

The Statuario in 24" x 48" is large enough that the subfloor has to be flat first, because a tile this size telegraphs every dip underneath. The look is worth the prep. The polish throws light around, which helps a dark room, but a polished face is slick once it is wet. Worth thinking twice before it goes on a shower floor or just inside a front door. Fired denser and harder than ceramic, porcelain takes traffic without showing it. PEI 5 is the top of the wear scale. It will take commercial traffic without showing it. Each box covers 15.5 sq ft. For a 100 sq ft room order 8 and you have your ten percent for cuts and a couple spare for repairs later. Have a look at it in Mississauga or Barrie before you order, ideally next to whatever it is going beside.
