Petrified Wood White at 2" x 2" goes where a full tile cannot: shower pans, niches, the strip behind a tap. The natural surface keeps its texture, which is what you want where feet arrive wet. Because it is porcelain the body is dense all the way through, so a chip does not show a different colour underneath the way it can on a glazed ceramic. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 3 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. Work on 10.66 sq ft a box. That puts a 100 sq ft floor at 11 boxes with ten percent in hand, which is what you want for cuts and breakage. There is far more grout per square foot here than with a big tile. Pick the grout colour deliberately, because it is half of what you will see. Both the Mississauga and Barrie stores keep it out, so you can put it beside your cabinet door or a paint chip before you commit.
