A polished face looks deeper and brighter than a matte one. It also shows footprints and gets slippery wet, so place it accordingly. Porcelain is the hard wearing one, which is why it ends up in the rooms that get walked through. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 3 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. A box holds 10.66 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 11 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. There is far more grout per square foot here than with a big tile. Pick the grout colour deliberately, because it is half of what you will see. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
