Petrified Wood White, 8" x 48", is large format, so you get far fewer grout lines and a floor that reads as one surface rather than a grid. The polish throws light around, which helps a dark room, but a polished face is slick once it is wet. Worth thinking twice before it goes on a shower floor or just inside a front door. Fired denser and harder than ceramic, porcelain takes traffic without showing it. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 3 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. Work on 10.34 sq ft a box. That puts a 100 sq ft floor at 11 boxes with ten percent in hand, which is what you want for cuts and breakage. Both the Mississauga and Barrie stores keep it out, so you can put it beside your cabinet door or a paint chip before you commit.
