About this product

The Onice Reale Opale in 24" x 48" is large enough that the subfloor has to be flat first, because a tile this size telegraphs every dip underneath. The look is worth the prep. A polished face looks deeper and brighter than a matte one. It also shows footprints and gets slippery wet, so place it accordingly. Fired denser and harder than ceramic, porcelain takes traffic without showing it. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 2 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. Work on 15.5 sq ft a box. That puts a 100 sq ft floor at 8 boxes with ten percent in hand, which is what you want for cuts and breakage. Have a look at it in Mississauga or Barrie before you order, ideally next to whatever it is going beside.
