The Onice Reale Nero in 48" x 48" is large enough that the subfloor has to be flat first, because a tile this size telegraphs every dip underneath. The look is worth the prep. The polish throws light around, which helps a dark room, but a polished face is slick once it is wet. Worth thinking twice before it goes on a shower floor or just inside a front door. Porcelain is the hard wearing one, which is why it ends up in the rooms that get walked through. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 2 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. Each box covers 31.01 sq ft. For a 100 sq ft room order 4 and you have your ten percent for cuts and a couple spare for repairs later.
