Midgley West Gneis Blanco Tile 30"x30" - Polished

Gneis Blanco, 30" x 30", covers ground fast and leaves very little grout, which is most of the appeal. Budget for a flat substrate and a second pair of hands. The polish throws light around, which helps a dark room, but a polished face is slick once it is wet. Worth thinking twice before it goes on a shower floor or just inside a front door. Porcelain is fired dense all the way through, so a chip does not show a different colour underneath the way it can on a glazed ceramic. PEI 5 is the top of the wear scale. It will take commercial traffic without showing it. A box holds 11.98 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 10 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. Both the Mississauga and Barrie stores keep it out, so you can put it beside your cabinet door or a paint chip before you commit.
