Gemstone Natural, 24" x 48", is large enough that the subfloor has to be flat first, because a tile this size telegraphs every dip underneath. The look is worth the prep. A natural finish holds grip when it is wet and does not show water spotting the way a polished face does. Because it is porcelain the body is dense all the way through, so a chip does not show a different colour underneath the way it can on a glazed ceramic. Work on 15.5 sq ft a box. That puts a 100 sq ft floor at 8 boxes with ten percent in hand, which is what you want for cuts and breakage. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
