Alpes Ivory at 24" x 48" makes a small room look bigger, mostly because there is so little grout breaking up the surface. Porcelain absorbs almost no water, which is what lets it go into a shower, a mudroom or a covered porch without any fuss. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 4 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. Each box covers 15.5 sq ft. For a 100 sq ft room order 8 and you have your ten percent for cuts and a couple spare for repairs later. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
