The natural surface keeps its texture, which is what you want where feet arrive wet. Porcelain is fired dense enough that water is not an issue, indoors or in a sheltered spot outside. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 4 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. Work on 4 sq ft a box. That puts a 100 sq ft floor at 28 boxes with ten percent in hand, which is what you want for cuts and breakage. There is far more grout per square foot here than with a big tile. Pick the grout colour deliberately, because it is half of what you will see. Have a look at it in Mississauga or Barrie before you order, ideally next to whatever it is going beside.
