rigid-core stands for stone polymer composite, and that core is the point: it is hard, rigid, and stable, so the plank stays flat over uneven subfloors and ignores the temperature swings that move cheaper vinyl. It clicks together as a floating floor. The 20 mil wear layer puts it in heavy-residential, light-commercial territory, which is where vinyl earns its keep in a family home. On vinyl, that mil number is the best single predictor of how long the floor keeps looking new, more than thickness or price. Because it is 100% waterproof rather than just water-resistant, you can put it in the rooms that rule out wood and laminate, full baths, laundry rooms, kitchens, and basements. Planks run up to 7 inches wide and 60 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. Micro-bevelled edges define each plank for a more authentic look. It is backed by a 30-year residential and 15-year Light commercial warranty. Colours in the range include Acadia, Arches, Denali, Everglades, and Yosemite.
